Disturbing Video Captures Moment Law Enforcement Get Knifed in Surprise Attack
A ranking policeman that leaped to the aid of a fellow officer who was ambushed by a knifeman received the King's Commendation for Bravery.
Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown following he held a blade to the neck of his fellow officer Sergeant Marc Foster.
Brown launched his attack as the law enforcement personnel and their colleague, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a motorist subsequent to a traffic accident in Whalley Range in mid-2023.
Brown knifed and cut the two Sergeant Ansell and Sergeant Foster before PC Wolstencroft stopped him with a Taser.

Police Constable Wolstencroft deployed his electric weapon and waited for a safe opportunity, ending the fight to an end.
Sgt Ansell was heard stating: "Please provide something on my neck now, I've been stabbed in the throat."
Sergeant Ansell suffered two open wounds to his throat and more injuries to his limbs and torso, while Sergeant Foster received knife wounds.
Officials said Sergeant Foster utilized his palms to stop his colleague's hemorrhaging prior to paramedics arrived.
The new honor follows subsequent to the three officers received departmental Bravery Awards in fall 2023 and the police federation award from the area Police Federation in spring 2024.
They additionally received a North West Courage Honor in summer 2024.
"The actions of the entire team ultimately rescued one another and meant no members of the public endured any injuries."
Brown was sentenced to an secure medical confinement in spring 2024, as stated by officials.
