Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring over a well-attended California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as onlookers watched.
Videos shared on the internet show the helicopter commencing to spiral above the beach then falling in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a staircase adjacent to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
Local firefighters reported five people were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Details on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
